We have come here for breakfast many times, and always leave happy. The food is so delicious, the staff is very friendly, and seating offers a great view of Lake Waubesa. Mimosas and Bloody Mary drinks are great. This place is our favorite breakfast spot.
It was very good. The burger I had was one of the best burgers I have ever had. You can see the lake from the dinning room. The bar looked very nice. The seasoned fries were the best. Service was very fast and very polite. It was one of the best places I have been.
Excellent bar/restaurant steps from the lake with great food, great views and fantastic staff. We had a small party there and the staff made sure everything was ready, that we were happy and were ready to help any way they could. Highly recommend!
Prices were fantastic considering the portions were plentiful. The quality was great! My husband had a Philly Cheese Steak sandwich and it was made with real sliced sirloin rather than chuck roast. I had a Walleye sandwich and it delicious.
Beautiful spot in McFarland where you can eat and experience the local lake before and after dinner. Menu includes fried chicken, walleye, and bluegill, so it is a Wisconsin dinner spot done right. Ownership and service are Wisconsin friendly, and the food is football Saturday good... meaning (in my humble opinion...) it doesn't get any better than this. We hadn't been here for a few years, but used to go quite a bit. Delivery appetizers (onion rings, French fries, etc), dinner club style salads with French dressing, and fried chicken done the way it's supposed to be. While Pete the retired truck driver and I ordered and mowed down on and loved the fried chicken...Lisa got the fish tacos and Brett ordered his walleye broiled. Brynne, of course, enjoyed her chicken strips and fries. Wisconsin beat an already beat up New Mexico State team 66-7. And all was right in the (local) world, if only for a moment.
The Greenie was the perfect place to enjoy my retirement celebration! Fun atmosphere, great food including Italian beef sandwiches, homemade meatballs and queso, and a friendly attentive staff! I highly recommend this for your next gathering! Thank you Green Lantern 💚
I enjoy stopping here on Friday night for a great fish fry and a beer. Eat at the bar or get a table with a friend. Makes no difference. Very local vibes, aged building, friendly.
The GOAT of fish frys. My wife and I will come here at least once a week if time allows. Service is awesome. Food is delicious and the atmosphere is like an old supper club lake bar. The best. Team Greenie
If you are lucky enough to get a table by the window and view a sunset over the lake, how can you not give a good review. The lake perch and cod Friday Night Fish Fry specials were really great. The Wiggies potato choice with the lake perch was really good. To me it is a must have. Friday nights get busy so get there early if you can. But having a cocktail while you wait for a great meal is not a deal breaker.
Went for the first time and had a great time! The food was great, portions were good and the waitress was on top of it! Would definetly recommend! I got the lantern omlettette came with shrimp, mushrooms, onions, hash browns and toast. My friend got an eggs Benedict and loved it! They had a jumbo shrimp option for a special today and another friend liked it. We ate everything. Would definetly go back!
